Why it matters
What the research says about family & connection
Decades of research show that older adults with strong family ties and a sense of community tend to live healthier, happier, and longer lives. Staying connected isn't just comforting — it's protective.
The CDC notes that the health risk of social isolation can rival smoking, obesity, and physical inactivity. The flip side is just as powerful: seniors who stay engaged with family and community show better mental health, lower rates of depression and anxiety, and a stronger sense of purpose.
That's the heart of what we do. When a parent has people checking in, a hand with daily tasks, and a way to stay connected, quality of life goes up — for them and for the whole family. Putting the right support in place is one of the most meaningful things you can do for someone you love.
